We thought we'd found our apartment in Tuscany. Everything was moving quickly toward a yes—but something in me kept saying no. Walking away taught me something much bigger than how to buy a home in Italy: the difference between moving toward a dream and running toward an escape.

After leaving Florence in 2013, Stefano and I always imagined we'd return to Italy someday. Now someday is becoming real. I'm sharing why we're moving back to Tuscany, what we're preparing to leave behind, and why we're choosing the uncertain path toward the life we actually want.
