Yin Yang Pilates & Yoga Retreat
June 12-19, 2027

Yin Yang Pilates & Yoga Retreat

Restore Balance. Reconnect to Yourself.

Experience Tuscany Slowly.

This retreat is an invitation to return to balance — not by doing more, but by listening more deeply.

Set in the quiet Tuscan countryside, the Yin Yang Pilates & Yoga Retreat blends movement and stillness, effort and ease, exploration and rest.

Each day is thoughtfully designed to help you reconnect with your body, calm your nervous system, and experience Italy in a way that feels nourishing rather than rushed.

Here, yoga is not a performance.

Travel is not a checklist.

And transformation happens naturally — through presence, connection, and space.

Welcome to Agriturismo Percenna

Our home for the retreat is a peaceful countryside agriturismo, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and centuries of history. It’s a place where time feels different — where meals stretch long into the evening and quiet moments feel restorative.

This setting isn’t just beautiful — it’s intentional. The land itself supports the work you’re doing internally.

If you’ve been waiting for permission to pause

This is it.

Spaces are intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy and depth of the experience.

Come as you are. Leave restored.

Arrival & Grounding

You’ll arrive at Agriturismo Percenna in the late afternoon, perched along the historic Via Francigena and surrounded by rolling hills.

After settling in, we gather for a welcome dinner, easing into the week with local food, shared conversation.

Day 2 | Ease Into Tuscany

The day begins with morning yoga or Pilates, followed by breakfast overlooking the countryside.

We visit Buonconvento, one of Italy’s most charming medieval villages, where cobbled streets invite slow wandering. Lunch is enjoyed at a beloved local restaurant before returning to the agriturismo for free time — swim, nap, walk, or simply be.

In the late afternoon, we come together for a hands-on cooking class, ending the day with a meal we’ve prepared together.

Day 3 | Wine, Land & Leisure

After morning movement and breakfast, we head to Montalcino, home of Brunello and timeless hilltop views.

A wine lunch at a family-run winery invites you to taste Tuscany slowly — learning the story behind the land, not just the label. The afternoon is intentionally open before dinner back at the agriturismo.

Day 4 | Walking Meditation & Stillness

Following morning movement and breakfast, we hike through the hills surrounding Abbazia di Sant’Antimo, guided by a local expert. The walk becomes a moving meditation — breath, body, and landscape in harmony.

Lunch and wine tasting is enjoyed in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, followed by rest back at the villa.

In the afternoon, we gather for a reflective workshop, then share dinner together.

Day 5 | A True Pause - Free Day

This day is intentionally unstructured.

Begin with optional morning movement and breakfast — then the day is yours.

Rest by the pool, journal, explore nearby towns, (we'll take you to the train station - 5 minutes away), or simply enjoy doing nothing at all.

Day 6 | Val d’Orcia & Reflection

After yoga or Pilates and breakfast, we visit San Quirico d’Orcia, a historic village nestled in the heart of Val d’Orcia along the Via Francigena.

We enjoy lunch locally, followed by free time back at the agriturismo and a final workshop session, offering space to reflect on the week and what you’re carrying forward.

Day 7 | Wine & Celebration

The final full day includes morning movement, breakfast, and a wine tour and lunch at a renowned Montalcino winery, celebrating the land, the people, and the connections formed throughout the week.

Our farewell dinner at the agriturismo is unhurried and heartfelt — the kind of evening that lingers.

About the Hosts

Katie Portanova

Tuscany Experience Expert

From a young age, I always followed my heart’s desire. I’ve been living on and off in Florence since 2002.

I’ve got almost 20 years under my belt of taking trains, buses, and visiting the most beautiful, secluded places in Italy. In order to live in Florence legally, I went as far as getting UK citizenship to obtain residency in my most favorite city in the world. It was well worth the wait. My heart leapt with joy once I made Florence my permanent home from 2009-2013.

Since moving back home, my goal has been to keep Italy in my life any way possible, and thus, Truly Italy was born!

About the Hosts

Melissa Capitano

Owner, Yin Yang Pilates & Yoga, Yoga Teacher & Pilates Instructor

Hi! I'm Melissa Capitano and I'm a Pilates and yoga instructor who has been teaching since 2010.

I found Pilates when I lived in Northern Virginia. It took me a while to try it – I was a yoga snob! But Pilates gave me that same feeling of connection, structure, and flow that yoga had given me.

I received my yoga certification from YogaWorks and Pilates from Balanced Body.

My teaching emphasizes alignment. I  believe strong alignment in movement helps you stay focused so that every session is a meditation on your mind/body connection and what you learn on the mat can transfer to your everyday life.

In 2021, I found my community at Yin Yang. When I’m teaching Pilates or Yoga, I feel connected to my clients and to the present moment. I hope you find that here as well.

I can't wait to teach you Yoga & Pilates in Tuscany!!
