What A Slow Tuesday In A Tuscan Village Actually Feels Like

Most trips to Italy are built around lists.

Cities to see.

Sights to tick off.

Trains to catch.

You come home with a camera full of photos… and a body that feels like it needs a vacation from your vacation.

What I’ve seen, again and again, is that the moments people remember most aren’t the big, busy ones.

They’re the quiet ones. The days that actually feel like a life.

So I want to show you what one slow Tuesday in a Tuscan village could actually feel like.

Not the itinerary. The feeling.

Imagine it’s June 2027.

You wake up to the sound of church bells in a small Tuscan village.

Light is coming through the shutters. It’s quiet.

You step out of your little apartment and walk the cobblestone street you’ve walked every morning that week.

At the bar, the barista recognizes you.

Your cappuccino arrives without you having to order.

You’re not rushing to catch a train or a tour.

You sit.

You breathe.

You actually taste your coffee.

Later that morning, we might visit a small family-run vineyard.

Or cook with a local.

Or wander slowly through a nearby medieval town.

There’s space in the day.

Space to notice the way the light hits the stone.

Space to listen to the sound of your own footsteps.

Space to feel your nervous system come down a few levels.

In the afternoon, you have time.

Time to read.

Time to nap.

Time to wander the village on your own and feel what it’s like to simply be there, without needing to “do” anything.

In the evening, the village gathers.

We meet in the local bar for aperitivo, then share a long dinner with good wine and unhurried conversation.

No one is rushing you out of your seat.

No one is checking a clock.

At some point during the week, most people say a version of this to me:

“I didn’t know how much I needed to slow down until I got here.”

That’s the heartbeat of the week I’m creating in Tuscany.

Not to help you see more.

To help you feel more.

To give you one small, very real taste of what life in a Tuscan village could feel like, when you finally have permission to slow down.

If a Tuesday like this sounds like something you’ve been quietly craving, I’d love to keep you in the loop as I bring it to life.

I’m planning a very small-group week in a Tuscan village for June 19–26, 2027 (dates are tentative), for just 8 guests.

You can join my email list and early interest list for that week here: [June 2027 interest page].

That’s where I’m sharing more village stories, behind-the-scenes details, and first access when bookings open.

Maybe, one of those June Tuesdays in 2027, it will be you sitting in that bar… being recognized, breathing deeply, and finally feeling un-rushed.
